Ironing your printed items

The great thing about this technology is discovering new abilities and features. Today I got to use this 'Ironing' feature.

Essentially, the hot end of the nozzle goes over the surface and 'flattens' out or, irons out if you will, to make it smoother.

This is the result.

And just for comparison, here is something that was not ironed.

While the non-ironed surface does not look as good, it is by no mean 'horrible'. This is a matter of refinement now.

It would be quite the feat if PrusaSlice had a way to iron out the inner surface of that indented star. Regardless, I am pleased with this outcome.
